Why we started

Most social tools treat AI one of two ways: they ignore it, or they bolt it on as a black box that holds the API key, picks the model, marks up the tokens and writes in nobody’s voice in particular. We wanted the opposite arrangement — your key, your model, your voice — with your choice of review before publishing or explicit automatic publishing per schedule.

The second thing we kept running into was reliability theatre. Plenty of schedulers will tell you a post published when what actually happened is that one API call returned something ambiguous. If you have ever found a duplicate carousel on a client account, you know why that matters.

What we believe

• Your keys, your models. Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google AI key. We never resell credits, so we have no reason to route your drafts through the cheapest model available.
• Approval by default. A draft is a draft until you say otherwise, and approval is bound to a revision — editing an approved post sends it back to review rather than publishing something you never read.
• Hold, do not guess. When a publish result is unknown, or a cited source has changed since generation, the right move is to stop and tell you. Blind retries are how duplicates happen.
• One workspace, many brands. Voice, accounts, sources and storage belong to a brand, not to a shared pool with a label on it.
• EU data residency. SocialAgent runs on Cloudflare Workers, D1 and R2 inside the EU, and we are based in Austria.
• Say what the product does. The allowances on our pricing page are the limits the product actually enforces, and our comparison pages say where competitors are stronger.

What we do not do

SocialAgent publishes to Instagram, Threads and X. It has no social inbox, no listening, no ad management and no LinkedIn or TikTok support today. If you need a full suite, Hootsuite is a more sensible purchase and we will say so.

You choose how each schedule runs: review and approve drafts first, or opt into automatic generation and publishing.
